I've always had a passion for animals and science since a child watching all the programs haha. I've loved drawing as far back as I can remember.

 

I was never in to action figures so would spend all my days drawing. I drifted away from art in my early teens as I was more interested in socialising.

 

I got caught up with a bad crowd from 15 and ended up doing a few months in jail when I was 17, where i ended up picking up a pencil and started drawing in exchange for items inside.

 

Whilst in jail I concentrated on practising on portrait drawing as I saw it as the hardest to master and when I got out I kept practising here and there, until years later at about 27 I went at it to try and make a living from it.

Things started to pick up and was getting lots of requests for drawing commissioned portraits, which was fun at first but after a couple years of the same thing and never ending poor quality reference photos, I had lost the fun and love for the art I was producing.

I decided to make a drastic change and stop taking drawing commissions, which was my only source of income and make a change from pencils to paint.

​

I also wanted to create larger scale work in the hope to open more doors.

​

Now I have got the love back for art again!

 

I've also been enjoying the odd commissioned paintings that come through like the Wild Currency painting which all helps to keep my dream alive.
